Focuses on college level writing and research skills across a range of media. Class description

Remix: Writing, Popular Culture, and You This course will cover instruction on writing in different genres and for different purposes and audiences through the examination of popular culture. In this course, we will apply varied concepts of writing and rhetoric to analyze and write about popular films, tv shows, comic books, music, magazines, books, and websites.

General method of instruction

Lecture, small groups, individual, class discussion.

Recommended preparation

Class assignments and grading

Several short papers and revisions as well as reading and daily/weekly assignments.

Grades assigned using evalautive hueristics based on assignments and learning goals.
