I have made the following subcommittee membership assignments based on your responses to my request for volunteers.

Faculty: issues and responsibilities in a changed summer quarter, including the cultural changes, faculty governance, promotions and tenure, duration of appointments, compensation, and who should constitute the faculty.

Budget: implications for the Universitys budget of a changed summer quarter, including self-sustaining vs. State-supported instruction, tuition, administration, capital issues, and nonacademic support services.

Students and curriculum: issues relating to student participation in a changed summer quarter, including types of instruction offered, curricular experimentation, external constituencies, rate of implementation, curricular integration and coordination, students served, and financial aid.
