Doctoral Student Named Exec Director of Colville Confederated Tribes
SSW doctoral candidate Nancy Lynn Palmanteer-Holder of the Colville Nation has been named executive director of the Colville Confederated Tribes.

 Her responsibilities will include implementing goals as provided by the governing body of elected tribal officials, tribal law, polices and budgets as well as administering a variety of highly complex and diverse programs, management systems, initiatives and projects involving both Colvilleʼs general and specialized work force that exceeds 1000 employees and multimillion dollar budgets.

Her work will include planning and coordinating activities with internal and external governmental units, as well as private or civic organizations to fulfill Tribal goals. The Colville reservation is located on approximately 1.4 million reservation acres in north-central Washington state. Lynn is working with five Pacific Northwest tribes on her dissertation for a doctorate in social Indian policy.
