Alumni Inspire Students & Discuss Innovative Career Paths

A panel of SSW alums panelists spoke passionately about social justice and different career paths they took as professionals during this year's Career Discovery Week, held the last week of January and open to all students, staff and the alumni community. Panelists inspired students as they discussed the myriad career possibilities in the social work profession. The panelists were:

  • Leon Preston, MSW ’73, lecturer and MSW practicum coordinator, School of Social Work
  • Edith Elion, BASW ’74 and MSW ’77, executive director of Atlantic Street Center
  • Diane Grisé-Crismani, MSW ’83, psychotherapist
  • Margaret Adams, BASW ’82 and JD, attorney and volunteer
  • Leana Pastores, BASW ’07, MSW ’08, youth counselor at Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS)
  •  Jennifer Martinell, BASW ’01, community specialist-CEJT Program at  Casey Family Programs
