Staff News

At our annual Awards Ceremony on June 11, we paid tribute to those staff members selected by our departments and the Dean’s Office to receive an Outstanding Staff Award for the important roles they play in our School. One of those staff members receives the additional recognition of the Kenneth J. Anderson Staff Award, established to honor Ken Anderson’s 20-year commitment to the School.

  • Angie Marie Buck, assistant to the chair, Department of Epidemiology
  • Norma Dermond, data systems and clinical operations manager, Collaborative Health Studies Coordinating Center, Department of Biostatistics. Norma also won the Anderson Award for her unique ability to work with researchers, staff, clinical coordinators across the country and federal project officers.

The many talents of Alex MacKenzie, curriculum coordinator in the School’s Department of Biostatistics, were the subject of a recent article in University Week. Alex is a writer, artist and avid birder.
