Top-ranked Biostatistics
Congratulations to our Biostatistics Graduate Program, which U.S. News and World Report has ranked first (tied with Harvard University) among biostatistics programs and third among all statistics and biostatistics programs in its 2010 rankings.

SPH 3rd in UW Research Dollars
The University recently published its Research Facts for FY 2009, showing grant and contract awards to the UW of $1.15 billion. Our School brought in nearly $88 million, putting us third (behind Medicine and Arts & Sciences) in UW research awards. Congratulations to our faculty researchers for this impressive ranking!

Northwest Public Health Big STC Winner
The last two issues of Northwest Public Health have received top awards from the Puget Sound Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication and have now been submitted to the Society’s international competition. Kudos to Susan Allan, Kathy Hall and Missie Thurston for merging public health and fine design in this biannual publication.
