Jeffrey Hogue ('94, M.S., DEOHS) was recently appointed vice president of Global Sustainable Development for Danisco A/S in Copenhagen, Denmark. In this role, working closely with senior leaders, Jeff will build on Danisco’s ongoing work in this area and oversee the development of sustainability goals, policies, and programs for the company, including carbon dependence reduction, stakeholder engagement, external reporting, environmental and social performance management, and product life cycle management. Jeff has significant experience in corporate social responsibility, having worked most recently for 15 years as Global Director of Sustainability at Genencor, a division of Danisco.

In April, Working Mother magazine named Janet Liang ('93, M.H.A., Health Services) one of 30 Working Mothers of the Year for successfully balancing her career, motherhood, and self-development. Janet is President of Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and the mother of two daughters.

David Reyes ('02, M.P.H., Health Services) was appointed to a two-year term (2008-10) on the Editorial Advisory Committee of The Nation’s Health, APHA’s official newspaper. He was also appointed to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Task Force on the Revision of the Essentials of Master’s Education for Advanced Generalist Nursing Practice. This fall he will enter the UW School of Nursing Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree program.
