The Weekend

The Weekend is a series of exciting events geared toward alumni of color and friends of diversity that will take place in conjunction with UW’s Homecoming festivities. Register today!

Samuel E. Kelly Distinguished Faculty Lecture

Named in honor of the University of Washington’s first Vice President for the Office of Minority Affairs, the annual Samuel E. Kelly Distinguished Faculty Lecture is dedicated to acknowledging the work of our faculty by spotlighting nationally recognized research focusing on diversity and social justice. All University of Washington faculty members are eligible to be nominated. 

Celebration
Date: May 5, 2011
Time and Location:  5:30 – 8:30 p.m.; Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle
Save the date to attend the longest-standing diversity event held at the University of Washington. Presented by the Friends of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity (OMA&D), Celebration is a banquet and scholarship fundraiser honoring the academic excellence of EOP students and champions of diversity. Highlights of Celebration, now in its 41st year, include scholarship presentations, as well as the presentation of the Charles E. Odegaard Award.

Alumni Remix

OMA&D, in partnership with several campus departments, will host the third annual Alumni Remix, an evening of celebration, networking, great food and music. Alumni of color and friends of diversity are invited to join us for this social gathering.
