2009 Eastern Washington Scholars Reception

On Aug. 29, Vice President for Minority Affairs and Vice Provost for Diversity Sheila Edwards Lange hosted the third annual Eastern Washington Scholars Reception at the Desert Wind Winery in Prosser, Wash. This reception recognized incoming University of Washington freshman scholars, their family, friends, the community and UW alumni.

More than 60 attendees, including scholars from across the Yakima and Tri-Cities area, were at this year's reception. The event was sponsored by the OMA&D, GEAR-UP, MESA and the UWAA.
