Friends of the Educational Opportunity Program Celebration 2009

Celebration 2009

This year's Friends of the Educational Opportunity Program (FEOP) Celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 13 in the Husky Union Building Ballroom, located on the UW Seattle campus.

Celebration is the longest-standing diversity event held at the University of Washington. Since 1971, OMA&D and the FEOP have hosted this event that highlights the academic success of EOP students and recognizes the Charles E. Odegaard Award recipient.

High points of EOP Celebration include scholarship presentations to outstanding EOP students and the Charles E. Odegaard Award. This award was established in 1973 to honor an individual or group whose leadership sustains former UW President Charles Odegaard’s work on behalf of diversity at the University and the citizens of the state. The Odegaard award is considered the highest achievement in diversity at the UW.

Celebration, since 1971 a signature event to highlight the academic success of UW students, is presented by OMA&D and the Friends of the Educational Opportunity Program.
