40 Under 40 ... a Sneak Peek

On May 20, 2008 the University of Washington celebrated 40 years of commitment to diversity. As a continuing part of this celebration, OMA&D and the University of Washington Alumni Association have been working on a special project. The spring 2009 issue of Viewpoints, the UW’s diversity alumni magazine, will feature 40 emerging leaders under age 40. These successful alums, chosen from an outstanding pool of nominees, not only used OMA&D services while attending the UW, but remain committed to diversity today.

The accomplishments of these individuals no doubt will inspire and encourage current UW students who have similar backgrounds and interests. Two of the fab 40 are:

Tyrone Porter
Tyrone Porter, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Boston University
Dept. Mechanical Engineering
Annie Young-Scrivner
Annie Young-Scrivner
Business Unit General Manager
PepsiCo International
China Snacks, China

Watch for the spring 2009 issue of Viewpoints to see all 40 of these outstanding alumni.

Please join us on Friday, June 5, 6-9 p.m., for an OMA&D Alumni Remix and "40 Under 40" recognition event at the Seattle Art Museum.
