Student Honors:

Only two Excellence in Teaching Awards are given each year; Fernanda and Chris split this award.

Huckabay Fellowships provide one quarter of support to students working on projects related to teaching or learning at the university level. Nine UW graduate students receive Huckabay Fellowships each year.

Valerie Soza, a Biology graduate student, was awarded a Stroum Fellowship by the GO-MAP Program in the Graduate School. Stroum fellowships support students of diverse backgrounds while they complete their dissertations and prepare manuscripts for publication.
