Distinguished Staff Award

UW staff make great things happen at the University of Washington—by supporting a commitment to excellence in educating tomorrow's leaders, making new discoveries, creating new technologies, and enriching lives through the arts and athletics. Since 1997, the University has been recognizing extraordinary accomplishments with the Distinguished Staff Award.

The University encourages every faculty member, staff member, and student to nominate an individual or small team for this award, and to later celebrate their achievements at a campus-wide reception for all nominees. Up to five individuals and/or teams are presented with this annual honor at the Awards of Excellence Ceremony.
