UWRA Programs

Virtual Retiree Resource Fair: Register today to explore your UW retiree privileges in a virtual fair hosted by Retiree Relations and UWRA, in collaboration with partners across the university. Do you have questions about using the Benefits office, accessing parking, Medicare plan options, updating your email address? These topics and more are gathered in an easy-to-access format, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions in each session. These key resources are open to all, but will be especially useful for recent retirees and those planning to retire in the coming year. Mix and match your own program – drop in on just the sessions that interest you or make a day of it! Webinar links will be sent via email upon registration. Dates: October 26 and 27. See the schedule and register HERE.

Resources for Caregiving: Caring for a partner, parent, or other loved one presents both great rewards and great challenges. Attend this virtual program to learn about resources for information and support as you move through the many decision points that are part of caregiving. When does in-home care make sense, and when is a nursing home or other care community necessary? How can you identify and evaluate in-home caregivers and possible residences? What professionals are available to assist you, and how do you find them? And where do you find support and refreshment for yourself? Tatiana Sadak, UW School of Nursing, and Emily Ishado, Psychosocial & Community Health, will provide their expert guidance. Date, time: Thursday, November 4, at11:00 a.m. Register HERE.
