A Typical Day in Rome: Stimulate your travel dreams with a virtual tour of the UW Rome Center and its surrounds in this beautiful city. Amity Neumeister, Resident Director of the Center, will be our guide for this first-hand view of the newly renovated 15th century Palazzo Pio, home to UW’s study abroad program in Italy. The building and the program have a unique history and offer special opportunities for students and others to experience Rome. Grab an espresso and join us for this program. Scholars’ Virtual Projects Symposium: Join the de Tornyay Center for Healthy Aging as scholars present their projects. Topics will range from self-care for dementia caregivers to social integration after injury and preparing for age-related changes. Athletes and Activism: Husky Sports, Social Justice and COVID‑19: Current and former Husky athletes join UW Football Head Coach Jimmy Lake and new Associate Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Sheridan Blanford to talk about the issues faced by college athletes and the power of college athletics to drive change. Gardening Workshop with Ciscoe Morris: Virtually join University House Wallingford in welcoming spring with this fun, informative, and free online workshop! During this online event, you’ll have the opportunity to: get tips on container gardening, planting, pruning, and fertilizing, discover Ciscoe’s favorite early spring plants, and ask questions to help get you ready for gardening season.
