Information Management

Information Management (IM) provides University-wide leadership in the development, management and delivery of data and information for decision makers at every level of the University. IM focuses on information platforms and analytics while broadening and deepening collaboration and engagement with partners across the UW.

IM also supports enterprise systems that enable the critical business operations of the University, including the UW’s Workday human resources, payroll, and benefits system. IM collaborates on initiatives to modernize the University’s business processes and systems, and is a key partner in the Finance Transformation program to transform the UW’s financial systems, policies and processes.

This division is responsible for:

Enterprise Administrative Applications (EAA) provides robust enterprise systems that are critical to support the University and are a prerequisite for expanding and evolving IM’s capabilities. EAA focuses on finance solutions, Enterprise Document Management, and enterprise systems for UW business units, including Environmental Health and Safety, and UW Facilities and Transportation.

Enterprise Data Integration (EDI) focuses on data platforms and integration, and is responsible for defining and implementing the University’s enterprise data integration strategy. EDI supports Enterprise Web Services, the Enterprise Integration Platform, the Enterprise Data Warehouse, and data analysis and design.

Enterprise Reporting & Analytics (ERA) enables increased focus on data analytics and reporting capabilities, expanding the University’s ability to develop products and deliver data to users.
