Pacific Northwest Quarterly
publishes reviews of books pertaining to the history and culture of the Pacific Northwest as well as more general works on the North American West. If you are interested in reviewing for PNQ please email pnq@u.washington.edu with your full name, institutional affiliation, credentials, and indicate your general and specific areas of knowledge. In lieu of payment, reviewers receive copies of the journal. PNQ does not accept unsolicited book reviews or requests to review specific books.


Deadline: two month after receipt of book. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns so we can ensure that the book is reviewed in a timely fashion.

Length of review: 600-700 words, unless otherwise specified.

Review must be double spaced with wide margins.

Place bibliographical information at the top of the first page, your name and institution at the end of the review.

Provide page number for quotations.

Recheck all quotations (including punctuation) and proper names for accuracy.

Reviewers will see galley proof of the review prior to publication.

Send review as an e-mail attachment to pnq@u.washington.edu, or send paper copy and a disk to PNQ, University of Washington, Box 353587, Seattle, WA 98195-3587.
