Chemical spill in the EE-Wing of the UW Medical Center prompted a partial evacuation of that wing of the Medical Center. Shooting at the Cafe Racer, 18 blocks north of the Seattle Campus, resulting in 5 victims, 3 of whom were fatalities. Short in high-voltage underground power vault off-campus at Pacific and Brooklyn Avenue caused a 24-hour power outage to the SW parts of campus.
