Photo of Mr. Clayto BrainerdThe Emergency Readiness Committee unanimously elected Mr. Clayton Brainerd, Analyst in the UW Facilities Partner Resources Department, as its first Vice Chairperson during its May 2, 2019 meeting.  Immediately prior to his election, the ERC updated its governance Charter, which included a new provision requiring that the Committee elect a Vice Chair as part of its executive Board.  In addition to a number of other talents and background experiences, as the prior Chair of the UW’s Resilience Work Group, Mr. Brainerd brings with him a wealth of knowledge and talent in the area of business continuity.  He will be joining the ERC Chair, Scott Nelson, in leading the ERC’s efforts improving the UW’s overall disaster resilience posture.  As the ERC Vice Chair, Mr. Brainerd – who will serve a 2-year commitment – will coordinate all committee task forces and serve as Chair if the position becomes vacant or if the Chair is absent.
