Policies and Procedures

There are several sources of policies, procedures, and rules that may be applicable or relevant to concerns you raise. Included below are helpful links that may be relevant:

  • APS 46.3 – Administrative Policy Statement 46.3 is the University’s policy for Resolution of Complaints Against University Employees.
  • EO 31 – Executive Order 31 is the University’s policy prohibiting discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, citizenship, sex, pregnancy, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, disability, or veteran status. This policy also prohibits retaliation.
  • EO 51 – Executive Order 51 is the University’s Sexual Violence Elimination policy prohibiting domestic violence, relationship violence, stalking, sexual assault, and retaliation.
  • EO 54 -Executive Order 54 is the University’s policy regarding Employee–Student Romantic Relationships and Conflicts of Interest.
  • EO 70 – Executive Order 70 is the University’s policy in compliance with the Department of Education Sexual Harassment regulations for Title IX.
  • SGP 210 – Student Governance Policy Chapter 210 is the University’s Student Conduct Policy for Discriminatory and Sexual Harassment, Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Misconduct, Stalking, and Retaliation.
  • WAC 478-121 – Washington Administrative Code Chapter 478-121 provides the rules for student conduct and for adjudicating alleged violations of those rules. It is sometimes referred to as the Student Conduct Code.
  • Faculty Code – The Faculty Code is the University’s policy providing for the organization and functioning of the University’s faculty.
  • Labor Relations – Information and union contacts for the University’s academic, student, and staff unions.
  • Title IX Regulations – U.S. Department of Education regulations for Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 USC § 1681.
