About the UW
The University of Washington, is located in the city of Seattle. Our beautiful region of the United States is called the Pacific Northwest. People often call our university the UW, which is pronounced “the you-dub”. We call ourselves Huskies, after our school mascot, Dubs. If you study at the UW, you might get to meet him!
The UW is a top-ranked research institution welcoming over 45,000 students from all over the United States and over 100 countries. UW offers 180 majors which means you have a wide range of courses to choose from!
