The Kakehashi Project — Bridge for Tomorrow

Kakehashi website banner

The Kakehashi Project is an exciting opportunity to visit Japan through a fully-funded ten day study program made possible by the Japan Foundation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and the UW Study Abroad Office.

Kakehashi promotes people-to-people diplomacy between students in Japan and the United States, fostering an environment of inquiry and understanding between our two cultures.

UW Study Abroad Director Peter Moran and Shannon Quinn, Program Manager of Advising and Scholarships, will teach a required three-credit class for all participants in winter quarter, and then lead the trip to Japan from March 14 – March 22.
