The UW Study Abroad Ambassador application for 2019 – 2020 is now closed.

Applications for 2020 – 2021 will open in April 2020.

What do UW Study Abroad Ambassadors do?

The Ambassadors are UW students who work with UW Study Abroad staff to promote study abroad to UW students in our community. The connections they make with other UW students considering study abroad are very impactful and influential.

By honing and developing professional and communication skills, the Ambassadors also foster student development and gain leadership experience, all while reflecting on their own experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Promote study abroad opportunities to students through various campus venues
    • Present to classes, student organization and orientation sessions
    • Represent UW Study Abroad at fairs and outreach events
    • Generate new ideas for student outreach
    • Assist with special projects like the Global Campus Photo Contest
  • Attend Study Abroad Ambassador training sessions to learn about study abroad options available to UW students
  • Share your study abroad experience with other students
  • Carry out peer advising for students new to study abroad
  • Show your passion for study abroad
