It contains the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Budget Name<\/li>\n<li>Budget Number<\/li>\n<li>Open Budget button<\/li>\n<li>This opens the connected SAGE Budget in a new browser tab\n<ul>\n<li>A list of the Period(s) connected with start date and end date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following image shows the <strong>Connect Budget Breakdown from SAGE Budget<\/strong> portion of the Budget &amp; Award Lines form section, with multiple periods.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sera\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2025\/12\/SAGE-Central-Connect-Budget-Blurred.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"award_budget\">Award Budget by Period<\/h2>\n<p>The <b>Award Budget By Period<\/b> portion of the Budget &amp; Award Lines form section includes a tab for each period selected, with its description, and an \u201cAll Periods\u201d tab on the left if more than one period was selected.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/AwardBudgetbyPeriod.png\" alt=\"Award Budget By Period Section\" \/><br \/>\nTo the right of the section are three buttons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Expand Budget:<\/b> opens the Award Line Details sections for the entire budget.<\/li>\n<li><b>Collapse Budget:<\/b> closes the Award Line Details sections for the entire budget.<\/li>\n<li><b>Customize Details View:<\/b> allows you to customize your view of budget data by toggling <b>Object Class Details<\/b> and <b>Award Line Details<\/b> on or off. Whichever setting is applied in the <b>Budget and Award Lines<\/b> section is also displayed in the <b>Review <\/b>section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following image shows these buttons with the Customize Details View expanded:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/central_asr_budget_expand_collapse_customize_buttons.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you scroll down to view the details of your budget, these buttons continue to be visible.<\/p>\n<p>The following image shows an All Periods un-expanded view with one award line:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sera\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/05\/Budget-and-award-lines-incl-related-GR.png\" width=\"1190\" height=\"459\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first row is the Primary Worksheet.<\/p>\n<p>The first column, Worksheet \/ Award Line, displays the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Worksheet Title<\/li>\n<li>F&amp;A Rate<\/li>\n<li>Base Type<\/li>\n<li>Location<\/li>\n<li>Sponsored Program Activity Type<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Select the blue caret (&gt;) to the left of the Grant Number to open the Award Line Details section for an individual award line.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The second column, Related Grant Worktag, is used to continue an existing Grant Worktag or reference a prior Worktag when creating a new one. If this does not apply, it will be left blank. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To add a Grant Worktag:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Select <\/span><b>Add Grant Worktag<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> link for the award line and a right side panel will open. Click in the Related Grant Worktag (GR) box to display eligible Worktags for this award line. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Select the Related Grant Worktag that is related to the budget worksheet and it will then display within the award line. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To remove a selected Worktag, in the right side panel, click the X in the Related Grant Worktag (GR) field or the back link to display the Workday Award Details panel. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once the Worktag has been selected, it displays on the main worksheet row. An Edit Grant Worktag link allows users to change the selected Worktag as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following image shows the right side panel and Related Grant Worktag selection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sera\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/05\/award-line-grant-worktag-selection.png\" width=\"1596\" height=\"516\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b>Integration Options Selection (GCA Only)<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When a supplement extension with separate year accountability modification is routed, GCA will have the option of integrating the modification to Workday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">GCA will confirm if a new award line should be set up \u2013 or, in cases where a renewal advance exists, GCA will have an option to update the existing award line established with the advance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sera\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/05\/GCA-integration-of-award-line.png\" width=\"808\" height=\"334\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The remaining columns display the costs for that category:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Total Direct Costs<\/li>\n<li>Costs Subject to F&amp;A<\/li>\n<li>Total F&amp;A<\/li>\n<li>Fees<\/li>\n<li>Total Costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the All Periods view, there are rows for Budget Total, Sponsor Awarded Total, and Difference. The Difference is between the Budget Total Costs and the Sponsor Awarded Total. For a single Period, there is a Period Total row.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"obj_class\">Object Class and Spend Category Details<\/h3>\n<p>This section displays when the <b>Expand Budget<\/b> button is selected. It shows a breakdown of the MOD&#8217;s linked budget amounts by the categories needed for the Workday plan setup.
