One of the OSP ASTRA administrators will assign you the appropriate role(s). There are several OSP roles available<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OSP Administrator<\/strong> is for OSP staff in general.<\/li>\n<li><strong>OSP Subcontracts\u00a0<\/strong>is for OSP staff in the subcontracts group.<\/li>\n<li><strong>OSP System Administrator\u00a0<\/strong>has special authority and is limited to a small number of OSP staff.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SPAERC Read-Only\u00a0<\/strong>is generally for central office staff outside of OSP who need to view applications and related items, and their attachments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"logon\">Log on to SPAERC<\/h2>\n<p>SPAERC is a web-based application which you access from your browser.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/spaerc\/\">https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/spaerc\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Select Sign In<\/li>\n<li>Enter your UW NetID and password on the UW NetID web login page<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1893\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/uw_netid_login_page.png\" alt=\"u w Net I D login page\" width=\"247\" height=\"374\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you log on for the first time, you will see the default Application tasklist page with a list of items. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/spaerc\/guide\/topics\/tasklists\/personalize-tasklist-display\/\">Establish a Default Tasklist<\/a> section for information on setting your own default choices.<\/p>\n<h2>Session Timeout<\/h2>\n<p>When you are logged in to SPAERC, but have not been actively using the system for 40 minutes, you will see a dialog message indicating that your session will expire in 5:00 minutes. The dialog will continue to count down the time. You have the option to click &#8220;Keep Working&#8221; to re-activate your session.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not click &#8220;Keep Working&#8221;, then when the time count reaches zero (0) minutes, your session will expire. Your browser will be redirected to a page containing links to all SAGE Suite application logins.<\/p>\n<p>The following image shows the session timeout dialog, with the time remaining until expiration and the instruction to click &#8220;Keep Working&#8221; if you want to continue to stay logged in.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6436\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sage_session_timeout_dialog.jpg\" alt=\"sage session timeout dialog\" width=\"422\" height=\"199\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To log in to SPAERC, you must have an assigned ASTRA role.
