Once this has been selected, the <strong>Look Up Request<\/strong> button will display to search and add the Request ID associated with the Subaward Modification Request. This section will then display the Grant Number, Workday Award ID, associated eGC1 and related award Request ID. If the subaward modification is in an editable status, links for <strong>Change Grant<\/strong> and <strong>Change Request<\/strong> will display.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/modificationdetailssubawards.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"832\" height=\"192\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14320\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"modification_types\">Modification Type(s)<\/h2>\n<p>You must select at least one type of modification, and fill in the corresponding information. The Subaward Start and End Dates, Subaward Total Amount, and the Request Start Date fields display for reference.<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>Modification Type<\/th>\n<th>Request Description<\/th>\n<th>Additional Data Required<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Extension<\/td>\n<td>For a new Subaward End Date which extends the current project period; once you select Extension, Early Termination is no longer selectable.<\/td>\n<td>Request End Date.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Early Termination<\/td>\n<td>For a new Subaward End Date which shortens the project period; once you select Early Termination, Extension is no longer selectable.<\/td>\n<td>Request End Date.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Funding Change<\/td>\n<td>For a decrease (Deobligation) or increase (Supplement) to the subaward\u2019s funding.<\/p>\n<p>Enter a negative Funding Change Amount for a Deobligation.<\/td>\n<td>Funding Change Type of De-Obligation or Supplement and a Funding Change Amount.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Scope Change<\/td>\n<td>For a change in the Scope of Work.<\/p>\n<p>Attach the new scope of work in the Attachment section below.<\/td>\n<td>An attachment that includes background information and\/or objectives and work to be performed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Other Modification<\/td>\n<td>For other changes.<\/td>\n<td>You are required to enter the details of the Other Modification in the Special Terms or Instructions For OSP.<\/p>\n<p>Note: characters such as &lt; or &gt; will cause errors.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Special Terms or Instructions for OSP<\/td>\n<td>Enter any additional information.<\/td>\n<td>Include special requirements or notes of OSP here. Examples can include special invoicing requirements or deadlines, advance payment requested, special reporting requirements.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>The following image shows a modification for an extension and a supplement funding change.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7686\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/subawards_mod_types_section.jpg\" alt=\"modification types section for extension and funding change\" width=\"650\" height=\"444\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SAGE will not allow you to submit a modification for both an Extension and an Early Termination.<\/li>\n<li>The Request Start Date field is not editable.<\/li>\n<li>If you just need to change the PO number for your subaward, email ospsubs@uw.edu to request the change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"attachments\">Attachments<\/h2>\n<p>If your modification includes a Scope Change, you must upload an <a href=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/subawards\/subaward-attachments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attachment<\/a>. Include any other appropriate attachments. OSP requires specific documents for modifications. Review the <a href=\"\/research\/myresearch-lifecycle\/setup\/subawards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Setup page for Subawards<\/a> for a description of the required documents.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"save_or_submit\">Save or Submit<\/h2>\n<p>At the bottom of the page you can select either <strong>Save Draft and Close<\/strong> or <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have not completed filling in all the required information, select Save Draft and Close to save and return to the Subaward Overview page. You can also save by selecting the SC number in the breadcrumb at the top of the page.<\/p>\n<p>Selecting<strong> <a href=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/subawards\/submit-a-subaward\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Submit<\/a><\/strong> will validate that you have completed all of the required fields. If not, the modification request page will re-display with validation messages for missing information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> If your subaward is older and therefore missing contact information, when you select Submit, you will see a validation message.
