The preparer could change over time.<\/p>\n<p>An <strong>Administrative Contact<\/strong> and a <strong>Pre-Award Budget Contact<\/strong> are additional individuals who can edit the budget or answer questions about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> When a budget is connected to an eGC1, the contacts and preparer information will be shared, as described in <a title=\"SAGE Budget and eGC1 Shared Access Data\" href=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/sage-overview\/connected-sage-budgets-and-egc1s\/sage-budget-and-egc1-shared-access-data\/\">SAGE Budget and eGC1 Shared Access Data<\/a>. An eGC1 Preparer will display.<\/p>\n<p>The following information displays for the preparer(s) and contacts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Name: <\/strong>First and last name and Employee Identification Number.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Selected Unit:<\/strong>\u00a0Name and organization code number of the selected business unit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Title<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Phone<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Access section lists all users with access to the budget, and indicates the <strong>Permission Type<\/strong> and <strong>Reason<\/strong> for the access. Read the article on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/sage-overview\/connected-sage-budgets-and-egc1s\/sage-budget-and-egc1-shared-access-data\/\">SAGE Budget and eGC1 Shared Access Data<\/a> if you will be linking your budget to an eGC1.<\/p>\n<p>The preparer (creator) and both\u00a0contacts have\u00a0the permission type of <strong>Owner<\/strong> with the role as the reason. You cannot change or give the Owner permission type to any other users. The person designated as the PI on a budget does not have\u00a0owner permission by default.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Access List<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Other individuals who have access to the budget are listed in the section, in addition to the preparer(s) and contacts.<\/p>\n<p>The values listed are Name, Permission Type, and Reason.<\/p>\n<p>Permission types are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Owner<\/strong> for the preparer(s) and Contacts, and the PI of a connected eGC1<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read Only<\/strong> for added users, which allows them to view the contents, but not make any changes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read Write<\/strong> for added users, which allows them to view and edit the contents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following image shows an example list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 498px;height: 218px\" src=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/budget_access_tab.jpg\" alt=\"Access Tab\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Access Permission on Copied Budgets<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> When you copy a budget, the individuals on the access list of the original budget are copied to the new budget. The person who creates the copy becomes the Budget Preparer of the new (copied) budget.
