The Sponsor Budget Map shows how your SAGE Budget data flows into the RR Detailed Budget form.<\/p>\n<p>The information on this page covers an application without a connected SAGE Budget.<\/p>\n<p>This help page covers the following sections of the budget:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-c\">C: Equipment<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-d\">D: Travel<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-e\">E: Participant\/Trainee Support Costs<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-f\">F: Other Direct Costs<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-g\">G: Direct Costs<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-h\">H: Indirect Costs<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-i\">I: Total Direct and Indirect Costs<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-j\">J: Fee<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#sec-k\">K: Total Costs and Fee<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"sec-c\">Section C: Equipment<\/h2>\n<p>In a new budget period, this section has headings and an <strong>Add New Equipment<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>Each time you click the button, a new row displays, as shown.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/gr_detailed_budget_equipment.jpg\" alt=\"detailed budget equipment section\" width=\"721\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<dl>\n<dt><strong>Equipment Item<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Enter a description of the item.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Funds Requested<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>Enter the dollar amount of the item. The UW has a $2,000 minimum amount for equipment costs which overrides the Grants.Gov $5,000 minimum.<\/dd>\n<dt><strong>Total Equipment Costs<\/strong><\/dt>\n<dd>This is a calculated field and is the sum of all of the items and the total from the attachment, if included.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><strong><em>Maximum Items Rule<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can add up to a maximum of 10 items. Once the maximum is reached, the <strong>Add New Equipment<\/strong> button is no longer selectable. A link to add an attachment, summarizing any additional equipment costs, will appear.\u00a0 The attachment is not required.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 488px;height: 94px;border-width: 1px;border-style: solid\" src=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/gr_detailed_budget_equipment_max-1.jpg\" alt=\"section c equipment attachment link\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you do add the attachment, then you must enter the total costs of the equipment described in the attachment.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 499px;height: 112px;border-width: 1px;border-style: solid\" src=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/gr_detailed_budget_equipment_max-2.jpg\" alt=\"section c equipment total costs for attachment\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sec-d\">Section D: Travel<\/h2>\n<p>Use this section to enter domestic or foreign travel costs, if any.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Total Travel Cost<\/strong> field is automatically calculated for you.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 470px;height: 111px;border-width: 1px;border-style: solid\" src=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/gr_detailed_budget_travel.jpg\" alt=\"section d travel\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sec-e\">Section E: Participant\/Trainee Support Costs<\/h2>\n<p>Use this section to enter any costs related to participant and\/or trainee support. Be sure to enter the <strong>Number of Participants\/Trainees<\/strong> following the totals line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> You must enter \u00a0both a description and the dollar amount if you use the <strong>Other (specify)<\/strong> row.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Total Participants\/Trainee Support Costs<\/strong> field is automatically calculated for you.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 475px;height: 218px;border-width: 1px;border-style: solid\" src=\"\/research\/tools\/sage\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2015\/04\/gr_detailed_budget_participant_trainee.jpg\" alt=\"section e participant trainee support\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sec-f\">Section F: Other Direct Costs<\/h2>\n<p>Use this section to enter in any other direct costs for your proposal. You can include up to 10 custom descriptions with values. OSP requires at least one set of data.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10263\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/gr_detailed_budget_indirect_costs.jpg\" alt=\"indirect costs\" width=\"808\" height=\"201\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you need to add additional rows, select the <strong>Add New Indirect Cost<\/strong> button. You may add up to a maximum of 4 indirect costs.
