This information helps reviewers understand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/myresearch-lifecycle\/manage\/compliance-requirements-non-financial\/export-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">export control<\/a> and budgetary implications as well as informing protections that need to be in place for any sharing of tangible items outside UW. Contact <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.uw.edu\/eio\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Equipment Inventory Office<\/a> with specific questions about fabricating equipment, or email exports@uw.edu for guidance on export controls.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Review more information and guidance on responding to the eGC1 compliance question from the Office of Research:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/myresearch-lifecycle\/plan-and-propose\/write-proposal\/compliance-proposals-and-agreements\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Compliance for Proposals and Agreements<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/myresearch-lifecycle\/plan-and-propose\/sponsor-requirements\/classified-or-restricted-research\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Classified or Restricted Research <\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As with other eGC1 pages, you can partially complete your entries and save the eGC1. You must complete the required fields before you route your eGC1 for approval.<\/p>\n<p>Select <b>Start Section<\/b> to open the section initially, and then <b>Edit Section<\/b> to add or update existing data.<\/p>\n<p>E-1.
