Reviewing this information before submitting allows you to confirm if your request is complete.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For more information, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/myresearch-lifecycle\/setup\/financials\/#complete-asr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">What is a complete ASR?<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/myresearch-lifecycle\/setup\/financials\/#asr-checklist-pi-campus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Checklist: Award Setup Request \u2013 Steps for PI\/Campus<\/a> can also help you identify whether your request is complete.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>Review &amp; Submit<\/strong> page:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Displays a read-only summary of the information entered for each section.<\/li>\n<li>Allows you to <strong>Submit &amp; Route<\/strong> your completed award when in \u201cComposing\u201d status.<\/li>\n<li>Allows you to <strong>Resubmit &amp; Route<\/strong> your award when in \u201cWithdrawn\u201d or \u201cReturned\u201d statuses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following image shows this page with the <strong>General Information<\/strong> section expanded:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/reviewandsubmituserguide.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13846 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/reviewandsubmituserguide.png\" alt=\"A screenshot of the read-only Review &amp; Submit section with the General Information section open.\" width=\"791\" height=\"973\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"review_and_submit_alerts\">Review and Submit Alerts<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Review and Submit<\/strong> page will display alerts at the top of the page to indicate any section where required data is still missing and which field(s) to complete.<\/p>\n<p>The following image shows an example of the alert message for incomplete sections:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/review_submit_validations.png\" alt=\"Missing data alert validation\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"budget_and_award_line_alerts\">Budget &amp; Award Line Alerts<\/h3>\n<h4 id=\"missing_info\">Missing Required Information<\/h4>\n<p>To capture missing information related to the connected SAGE award budget, you will see alerts on both the <strong>Review &amp; Submit<\/strong> page, as well as the <strong>Budget &amp; Award Lines<\/strong> page of the ASR. The <strong>Review &amp; Submit<\/strong> page will display a more generic message \u201cYou are missing one or more fields in your budget worksheet(s).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/budget_and_award_line_alerts.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13812 size-full\" style=\"border: black solid 1px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/budget_and_award_line_alerts.png\" alt=\"Image of Budget and Award Lines alert indicating that there are missing fields in your budget worksheet that need to be completed\" width=\"512\" height=\"82\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When you go to the <strong>Budget &amp; Award Lines<\/strong> page, you will see an alert to \u201cExpand your worksheets to see missing required information you will need to complete before you can submit this request.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You will also see the yellow alert on the specific worksheet that contains the missing information. When you expand the worksheet, you will see the specific detail in need of correction. Missing details that may need to be provided within the expanded worksheet section include: missing PIs, Cost Centers, Security Grant Hierarchies, and F&amp;A details.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASRreviewandsubmit_budgetandawardlines.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13813 size-full\" style=\"border: black solid 1px\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASRreviewandsubmit_budgetandawardlines.png\" alt=\"Image showing budget and award lines page with alerts to complete missing data in your SAGE Budget worksheet\" width=\"1092\" height=\"570\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"mismatched_totals\">Mismatched Totals<\/h4>\n<p>If the <strong>Sponsor Total<\/strong> on the <strong>General Information<\/strong> page does not match the <strong>Budget Total<\/strong> on the <strong>Budget &amp; Award Lines<\/strong> page of the ASR, you will be unable to route your award.<\/p>\n<p>Alerts will display on both the <strong>Budget &amp; Award Lines<\/strong> page and the <strong>Review &amp; Submit<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"subaward_cost_alert\">Subaward Cost Alert<\/h3>\n<p>Award budgets require each subaward to have its own separate worksheet in SAGE Budget. If instead you entered the subaward amount on a primary or internal worksheet as a 03-62 expense, the alert in the ASR will indicate \u201cYour budget contains at least one subaward cost. Award budgets require subawards set up as a Subaward Worksheet. Remove 03-62 Outside Services\u2014Subcontract (Proposal Budget Only) costs from your worksheet(s) and create new Subaward Worksheet(s).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The following image shows an example of the alert:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASR_review_and_submit_03-62_alert_message.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13422 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASR_review_and_submit_03-62_alert_message.jpg\" alt=\"Image showing Subaward cost alert requesting removal of 03-62 costs from budget worksheet and to add a new subaward worksheet\" width=\"551\" height=\"177\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"return_reason_alerts\">Return Reason Alerts<\/h3>\n<p>If an ad hoc reviewer, OSP, or GCA returns the ASR to you, you will see who returned the item, along with the <strong>Return Reason<\/strong>, displayed\u00a0on the <strong>Review &amp; Submit<\/strong> page as an alert. You will also see this same information in the <strong>Comments &amp; History<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/returnedvalidation.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13814 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/returnedvalidation.png\" alt=\"Image showing return reason alert\" width=\"627\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"submit_and_route_your_ASR\">Submit &amp; Route your ASR<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Submit &amp; Route<\/strong> button at the bottom of the <strong>Review &amp; Submit<\/strong> page is enabled once you have entered all required data.<\/p>\n<p>The following image shows the <strong>Submit &amp; Route<\/strong> button:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/SubmitandRoute.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11645 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/SubmitandRoute.jpg\" alt=\"Submit and Route button\" width=\"160\" height=\"46\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Selecting <strong>Submit &amp; Route<\/strong> will start the routing and approval process for an Award Setup Request in \u201cComposing\u201d status and change the request\u2019s status to \u201cRouting.\u201d The system will re-validate all required fields.<\/p>\n<p>If you are working with a &#8220;Returned&#8221; or &#8220;Withdrawn&#8221; request, the button will say \u201cResubmit &amp; Route\u201d instead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ResubmitandRoute.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11653 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ResubmitandRoute.jpg\" alt=\"Resubmit and Route button\" width=\"177\" height=\"47\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When you select the <strong>Resubmit &amp; Route<\/strong> button for an award in \u201cReturned\u201d status, a dialog will display. Once you have entered your comments, the <strong>Resubmit &amp; Route<\/strong> button will become active. The dialog, with a comment and active button, is shown in the following image.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ResubmitandRouteSection.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11654 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ResubmitandRouteSection.jpg\" alt=\"Resubmit and Route section\" width=\"483\" height=\"304\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Upon submit\/resubmit, the left navigation menu will now display the <strong>Request Summary<\/strong>, rather than the individual award sections.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"request_summary\">Request Summary<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Request Summary<\/strong> page displays for Award Setup Requests in the following statuses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Routing<\/li>\n<li>OSP Setup<\/li>\n<li>OSP Assigned<\/li>\n<li>GCA Assigned<\/li>\n<li>Denied<\/li>\n<li>GCA Workday Setup<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The menu on the left will include a link for the <strong>Request Summary <\/strong>instead\u00a0of the individual sections. The page displays the details for each of the award sections as view-only for review.<\/p>\n<p>The following image shows the sections available in the left-navigation menu of the <strong>Request Summary<\/strong> page along with some request details:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASRreviewandsubmit_newawardsetup.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13816 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/ASRreviewandsubmit_newawardsetup.png\" alt=\"Image showing New Award Setup Request left navigation menu options: Request Summary, Approvals, Access and Roles, Comments and History\" width=\"512\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"withdrawing_an_award\">Withdrawing an Award<\/h2>\n<p>If you have chosen to add an ad hoc department reviewer to the approvals, while your award is in \u201cRouting\u201d status, you can withdraw it to make updates if you have edit access and are not also an approver. A <strong>Withdraw Request<\/strong> button will display at the bottom of the <strong>Request Summary<\/strong> page, as shown in the following image:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/WithdrawRequest.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11649 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/WithdrawRequest.jpg\" alt=\"Withdraw Request button\" width=\"193\" height=\"58\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Selecting this button will move your award to \u201cWithdrawn\u201d status and make it editable. It will also add an entry to the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/awards\/awards-comments-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comments &amp; History<\/a> <\/strong>section.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/awards\/awards-approvals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Approvals<\/a> <\/strong>section, the approval flow will reflect the change in status. A node will indicate who withdrew the request, along with the date. The final node will display \u201cWithdrawn,\u201d and any unapproved nodes will be marked as canceled.<\/p>\n<p>Withdraw capability is not allowed while the request is in &#8220;OSP Assigned&#8221; or &#8220;GCA Assigned&#8221;
