Review: <a href=\"how-approval-flow-generated\">How the Flow is Generated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SAGE automatically routes the proposal to the individuals and units included in the approval flow. The system also sends email notifications of pending approvals to Approvers on campus. OSP uses their SAGE Central tasklist to manage proposals waiting for approval. Review: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/approvals\/approving-egc1s\/egc1-email-notifications-details\/\">Reviewer Email Notifications<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As a reviewer, you can access the approval flow for an application from the Approvals tab in <a href=\"http:\/\/sage.washington.edu\">SAGE<\/a>. You have the option of viewing a graphical or a textual representation of the approval flow. \u00a0If you are a preparer or owner of the eGC1, you can also access the approval flow from the Certify &amp; Route page of the application.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, anyone who appears on the SAGE approval flow is referred to as a reviewer. More specifically, reviewers are either Approvers or Watchers.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Approvers:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Must sign off on (<a href=\"approve-application\">approve<\/a>) the eGC1<\/li>\n<li>May <a href=\"return-application\">return <\/a>the proposal to the preparer for changes<\/li>\n<li>May <a href=\"add-comment\">add a comment<\/a> that then becomes part of the permanent record of the proposal<\/li>\n<li>May <a href=\"add-ad-hoc-reviewer\">add an additional approver or watcher<\/a> to the approval flow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Watchers:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor the status of an eGC1; they are not required to approve the eGC1<\/li>\n<li>May choose to \u201c<a href=\"mark-application-watched\">mark<\/a>\u201d the application as Watched<\/li>\n<li>May <a href=\"add-comment\">add a comment<\/a> that then becomes part of the permanent record of the proposal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"advance\"><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The \u201capproval flow\u201d includes all UW individuals, divisions, departments, deans, and\/or compliance offices (including OSP), that must review and sign off on a proposal before its&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":28,"featured_media":0,"parent":65221,"menu_order":15,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","template":"templates\/page-builder-no-image.php","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-65236","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.1.1 -
