This header remains visible regardless of what part of the advance you are viewing.<\/p>\n<p>The following images show an example advance header for a New advance in Composing status and for an advance in Processed status.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13458\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/advance-_budget_request_header_new.jpg\" alt=\"advance budget request header composing status\" width=\"937\" height=\"82\" \/><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13459\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/advance_budget_request_header_processed.jpg\" alt=\"advance budget request header processed status\" width=\"1106\" height=\"84\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The header contains the following items, reading from left to right:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A blue arrow, pointing to the left, which is a link back to your Advances list.<\/li>\n<li>The text &#8220;Advance Budget Request&#8221; followed by the request&#8217;s unique reference number, in parentheses, with the prefix ADV. For example: ADV25111.<\/li>\n<li>The eGC1 number for the Request Application (eGC1). Clicking on the application number will open a new tab displaying the eGC1.<\/li>\n<li>The Request Status, the current status of this item<\/li>\n<li>A more options menu (three vertical dots) which allows you to add a comment or delete the composing request<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For a Processed advance, these items may appear:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Advance Budget number (if it exists)<\/li>\n<li>The Award Activity number (if it exists)<\/li>\n<li>A link to the Associated Cycle (if it exists)<\/li>\n<li>The Request Status<\/li>\n<li>A more options menu (three vertical dots) which allows you to add a comment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Navigation Menu<\/h2>\n<p>The Navigation Menu lists the sections of your advance. When you select a section, its name will change to bold font and be highlighted with a light blue shading. The following image shows an example of an advance&#8217;s left navigation menu, with the General Information section highlighted.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8325\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/adv_new_request_left_nav_menu.jpg\" alt=\"advance budget left navigation menu\" width=\"241\" height=\"539\" \/><br \/>\nTo the left of each section name is a circle. Initially, it will be empty.
