{"id":65193,"date":"2026-04-17T11:00:55","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T18:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/new-tools\/sage\/advances\/advance-cost-share\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T11:01:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T18:01:43","slug":"advance-cost-share","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/new-tools\/sage\/advances\/advance-cost-share\/","title":{"rendered":"Advance Cost Share"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cost Share section displays, by default, the F-3 question and current response from the associated application&#8217;s Budget &amp; Fiscal Compliance page or the most recent response from a processed advance for the same associated application.<\/p>\n<p>The following image shows this default view.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8690\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/adv_cost_share_current.jpg\" alt=\"advance cost share current tab\" width=\"732\" height=\"313\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If the response to F-3 is \u201cYes\u201d, a cost share addendum attachment is required.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/tools\/sage\/guide\/advances\/renewing-an-advance\/\">Renewal<\/a> advances require a response to an additional question if F-3 is \u201cYes\u201d:\u00a0 \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Will there be any changes to cost share during the next budget period?\u201d\u00a0 Review current cost share setup in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ucs.admin.uw.edu\/efecs\/UWNetID\/CostShare\/Default.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">eFECS Cost Share Summary<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (ASTRA access required.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If the response is \u201cYes\u201d to changes, an updated cost share addendum attachment will be required.\u00a0 If the response is \u201cNo\u201d to changes, the original cost share addendum attachment is required.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Select the <strong>Edit<\/strong> link to update the response.\u00a0 The link will change to a <strong>Done<\/strong> link, which when selected, will save any changes and return you to a read-only display of the data.<\/p>\n<p>If you change the response from No to Yes, a Reason for change text box will display and you will need to upload an up-to-date cost share addendum, as shown in the following image.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8691\" src=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/adv_cost_share_edit.jpg\" alt=\"advance cost share edit view\" width=\"604\" height=\"610\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;<span style=\"color: #000000\">Responses from older eGC1s &amp; Advances&#8221;<\/span> tab lists the associated application followed by the text &#8220;(Original Responses)&#8221;.
