Three different scenarios require the study team to respond to HSD to move the review forward.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In all three scenarios:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The PI, any PI proxies, and the study\u2019s primary contact receive an email notification and the study appears in My Inbox.<\/li>\n<li>A member of the study team may need to edit the related documents and\/or SmartForms based on HSD or the IRB\u2019s request.<\/li>\n<li>The PI or a PI proxy must complete the Submit Response activity to push the application back to HSD before HSD may take additional action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not respond, your submission may be withdrawn after 6 months of non-response.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on responding to HSD during relying site review, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/research\/hsd\/training\/zipline-online-help-library\/submitting-new-sites\/#submit\">Submitting New Sites<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Scenarios<\/h2>\n<div class=\"accordion \" id=\"accordion\">\n<div class=\"screen-reader-text\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<div class=\"card-header\" id=\"accordion-header\">\n<h3 class=\"mb-0\"><button class=\"btn btn-link\" type=\"button\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-target=\"#collapse\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse\"><span class=\"btn-text\">Clarification Requested- Most Situations<\/span><span class=\"arrow-box\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span><\/span><\/button><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"collapse\" class=\"collapse \" aria-labelledby=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion\" role=\"region\">\n<p>At any stage during the review process, the HSD or IRB reviewer may request clarifications to the application content. This moves the application to the Clarification Requested state.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Clarification Requested (Committee Review) Only:<\/strong> The study team can only provide a written response and cannot edit the study. letter into the document, and responding to each point. There are 2 ways to pull the most recent version from Zipline:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Option 1: From the Documents Tab<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to the Documents tab and select the draft version of the document.<\/li>\n<li>Make edits and save the document to your computer.
