Purpose

The Environmental Engineering Analytical Center (EEAC) provides analytical instrumentation at break-even costs to support research within the University of Washington. External parties are also welcome to utilize our instruments according to a different rate schedule. Our capabilities are focused on the detection and quantification of trace level environmental contaminants, including metals, volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, inorganic anions, carbon/nitrogen in water, and other pollutants or components of the environment.

Description

Our instruments are available for use under supervision of EEAC staff. All charges are hourly, according to the current established rate schedule that has been approved by the University of Washington administration. EEAC staff can be hired for instrument operation, training, method development, or sample prep at the hourly rate for personnel. Clients are generally responsible for providing their own columns and consumables. Please contact laboratory manager for details.
