Research Administration Data Cube (RADC) Lecture and Demonstration

This set of  video and print resources, developed as part of the CORE 2090 course, “Research Administration Data Cube (RADC),” and are available for independent browsing.

The videos offer a deep dive into the Research Administration Data available through the Research Administration Data Cube (RADC) on the BI Portal. The recorded lecture orients you to the Research Administration Data landscape with an explanation of the cube and a tour of its data points including awards, proposals, and expenditures. The demonstrations highlight the types of questions that can be answered using the RADC. There is a practice exercise in the Resources section below to use in applying what is learned from the lecture and demonstration.

Previous data experience is assumed; participants are expected to be comfortable using Excel and pivot tables and have EDW access prior to using the RADC. Participants who do not have expertise in Excel pivot tables or would like to refresh their knowledge before the class are encouraged to take a look at the Lynda.com or LinkedIn Learning tutorials.
