Angela Davis-Unger has been a research scientist with the Office of Educational Assessment (OEA) since 2007, providing professional evaluation, research, and assessment services.  She has provided evaluation services for a number of grants focusing on STEM education and outreach including the Initiative for Maximizing Student Diversity (IMSD) and the Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) both designed to increase the number of under-represented students entering graduate research programs in biomedical fields.  Angela has also contributed to applied social science research to assess student learning outcomes and better understand students’ experience across the majors at the University of Washington.  Angela received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Washington.  She has taught in the University of Washington’s Interdisciplinary Writing Program (IWP) and the Department of Psychology and received a Distinguished Teaching Award for her contributions.  As a graduate student at the University of Washington, she was a member of the Committee for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) in the Department of Psychology, examining issues of teaching and learning in higher education.
