Expertise: Deep earthquakes, slow-slip tremors
Heidi Houston is a geologist who studies the physics of deep earthquakes. Working in the Cascadia Subduction Zone, she is part of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, an organization dedicated to reducing the impacts of earthquakes and volcanoes in Oregon and Washington. She also focuses some of her time and research on the San Andreas Fault in California.
