What inspires me
I’m inspired by big ideas, generous ideas, new ideas and ideas that have long legacies of making the world better.

I am the Kayla Skinner Deputy Director of Education & Public Engagement at the Seattle Art Museum. In this role I get to collaborate with lots of brilliant, creative partners to develop arts learning opportunities centered on equity, relevancy and curiosity. Prior to joining SAM in 2009, I worked at the Frye Art Museum and the Addison Gallery of American Art. I also held positions at several arts education organizations including Path with Art, Project Zero and the National Arts Learning Collaborative. Born in New York and raised in Seattle, I graduated with my bachelors in Art History from Wesleyan University and my masters in Arts Education from Harvard University.
