Campus Partners
Jumpstart UW is part of the Community Engagement & Leadership Education (CELE) Center of Undergraduate Academic Affairs and located in the Center for Experiential Learning & Diversity (EXPD) in Mary Gates Hall, suite 171. As of March 2020, we have shifted to working virtually due to COVID-19.
We partner with:
- Community Engaged Courses -Volunteer with community based organizations as part of a course
- Undergraduate Community Based Internships – Intern in non-profit and public sector organizations with the mentorship of graduate students
- Riverways Education Partnerships – Tutor and mentor K-12 students in a school setting and/or volunteer with their ASB programs
- Dream Project – Assist middle and high school students with post-secondary planning and college access
- Othello-UW Commons – a new place-based initiative that seeks to deepen and strengthen the Southeast Seattle and UW relationship
- Husky Leadership Initiative – cultivate your knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be effective change agents and contributing members in your communities
