Were my Tegrity recordings moved to Panopto?
UW-IT moved your Tegrity recordings during Winter Quarter 2015 if:
- you completed the survey
- the recordings were made before December 5, 2014
Information stored in your Tegrity recordings, such as bookmarks and notes, were not transferred to your Panopto account. Content created in Tegrity after December 5th, 2014 will not be available after April 10th, 2015.
Can I move my Tegrity videos to Panopto myself?
No. Manually transferring videos from Tegrity to Panopto is not possible. If you made a request by December 5, 2014, to have Tegrity recordings transferred to Panopto, UW-IT fulfilled that request.
What happened to Tegrity public URL links for my content?
As communicated prior to the migration process, public URL links from Tegrity did not persist. You will have to replace Tegrity links with Panopto links. Instead of linking each individual video, you can link once to the UW Panopto home page or the Panopto Recordings page in your Canvas course.
How do I get Tegrity Manager Courses associated permissions to show in my Panopto account?
Where UW-IT was able to match a Tegrity recording with a Canvas course, the recording was placed in a Canvas-linked folder and has the permissions of that Canvas course. Students in your Canvas course can log in to UW Canvas or UW Panopto to view your course videos.
If you have Tegrity Manager Courses and want the courses and associated permissions to show in your Panopto account, you have a couple of workaround options:
- Using the Share feature in Panopto, add a list of UW NetIDs to the Panopto folder. Large lists of netids can be entered all at once using commas between each UW NetID.
- UW Panopto receives course enrollment data from UW Canvas. By adding UW Groups or individual NetIDs to the published UW Canvas course connected to your UW Panopto folder, you will update permissions in UW Panopto.
