Hearing Office

The University provides a hearing process so that an independent decision-maker can consider certain student conduct and employee matters. The Hearing Office directly coordinates and conducts hearings. When a hearing is requested, the Hearing Office’s responsibilities include communicating with participants about their rights and explaining how the hearing process works. When a matter goes entirely through the hearing process, a hearing officer will make determinations about responsibility and (potentially) sanctioning.
