Works as an advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at The Arc of Snohomish County. Leads a self- advocacy women’s group, a People First group, and the All Aboard group, which facilitates a transition club for teens and young adults in both Edmonds and Jackson high school districts. Accompanies individuals with disabilities to the Washington State Capitol for Advocacy Days.

Earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Washington State University and a master’s degree in sustainable real estate development from Tulane University in New Orleans. Works for Bellwether Housing in Seattle as a housing developer focusing on affordable housing projects in Seattle and Western Washington. Served in the Peace Corps in Bulgaria and previously lived in Washington, DC. Lives in Shoreline with his wife, daughter, and dog.

Dyslexia and other learning differences

Has one certificate from Johnson County Community College for railroad conducting, an associate of arts degree, and two more certificates from Shoreline Community College. Works for Ballard Terminal Railroad and has worked in Eastern Washington out of Cheney. Continues to use their film training to an advantage while playing with new technology and photogrammetry. Has 15,626 edits on Open Street Map and is now working on other mapping projects like Open Historical Map. Active contributor to Open Historical Map with a little over a thousand edits. Attending other mapping activities and becoming more involved in the community. Open to having conversations on any of these topics or local history in general.
