Getting help with websites at the UW
The UMAC Web Strategy team can assist with questions specifically related to the products and services documented on this website: UMAC’s website hosting, the UW WordPress theme, Storytelling Modules, or other plugins we maintain. We also provide best practices, references and guides, and training materials. In some cases, we can provide guidance on user experience and content strategy. However, we may not be able to answer all questions, especially those outside our documented offerings. To get help from our team, start a conversation with us today:

Builder questions
It all starts by choosing a hosting platform. From there, you may need to install a content management system (CMS) and an appropriate template. We provide a WordPress theme and support the UW Drupal theme for any department at the UW – your department or campus may provide templates for your use.
We provide documentation to help you understand the hosting platforms available at the UW. We would be happy to provide consultation on those platforms and we can help you understand the pros and cons of the CMS’s they support. Reach out to use at uweb@uw.edu to set up a time to talk.
We offer limited guidance in these areas. Please reach out to us at uweb@uw.edu and our team will be happy to talk more with you about the guidance we can provide.
If the issue relates to a product or service documented here, yes. Otherwise, we may refer you to another support resource. Please note: to limit our liability, we will not work directly on your systems – we will give you (or your designee) steps that can be taken to fix the issue.
