Counseling Center

Resources for Black Individuals and Communities

Black bodies matter. Black mental health matters. To our Black students, we at the Counseling Center stand with you and are here to support you in your healing process. In the aftermath of experiencing or witnessing trauma, it is normal to experience a range of feelings and emotions. You may be experiencing heartache, anger, fear, irritability, or sadness. You may be experiencing fatigue from White friends reaching out to you about what they can do. All of these reactions are normal. We want to encourage you to be gentle with yourself and your body during this time. We hope that this resource list can assist you to intentionally practice self-care as well as to engage in community-care.
