Pregnant and parenting students, staff and faculty
The UW prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, which includes pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination, or recovery therefrom. UW wants every student to be able to work successfully toward graduation and every employee to have full access to their workplace.

Special academic support for students
A student might be experiencing negative impacts to their academics as a result of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking. In these cases, the University may provide special academic support to the student.

The UW Seattle Campus Climate Survey was conducted in the spring of 2016 to assess the extent and nature of sexual misconduct among students as well as to understand students’ views of the campus climate. Bothell and Tacoma conducted surveys as well, but the results are not yet published for those campuses.

The Association of American Universities Climate Survey on Sexual Assault and Sexual Misconduct was conducted across 27 universities in 2015 to assess incidence, prevalence, and characteristics of incidents of sexual assault and misconduct as well as students’ view of campus climate.
