The Vietnamese Friendship Association (VFA) advances equity in education, fosters civic engagement, and advocates for Vietnamese and other refugee and immigrant communities. In Washington State, students with limited English graduate at a rate of 60%, compared to 79% statewide, due to language, cultural, and economic factors. VFA addresses this disparity through its year-round Academic and Enrichment Program, which serves approximately 200 refugee and immigrant youth each year. We offer after-school, Saturday and summer programming to youth. In addition, VFA offers programs in early learning via a dual-language preschool, and promotes civic engagement through grassroots organizing. For more information about our work, please visit

Duties and Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping -Process and code incoming revenue (e.g., cash, checks donations, grants) -Prepare checks, to be signed by Executive Director, for bill pay and reimbursements -Assist Executive Director with employee timesheets and payroll -Organize financial documents into VFA server Administrative -Check daily mail Check inbox -Support with copying and filing of documents.


-Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel -Experience using Google-related products (Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Spreadsheets) -Organizational and multitasking skills, and attention to detail
