Position title: Academic Tutor

Name of organization: Seattle Urban Squash



Position description:

SUS tutors will work with students in grades 3-8 to bolster students’ knowledge of content being taught in their classrooms, through homework help. Additionally, tutors may design and work with students on individual projects, under the supervision of the Academic Director.


Time commitment: Minimum, one 1-hour tutoring session per week


Skill requirements:

– Knowledge of subject matter

– Ability to communicate subject matter to students of varying ages

– Willingness to try teaching in a variety of modalities (i.e. visual, auditory)

– Ability to work well with children

– Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor


Start date: Immediate


End date: June 2017


Location: Seattle Athletic Club Downtown
