Position description:

Want to help build emergency preparedness in your community? Help out with the Disaster Relief Trials on September 25th! Our goal is to provide a realistic practice of how bicyclists can be a vital link in providing supplies to citizens when the roads are impassable to larger vehicles, educate the public about preparedness skills, and have a great time.

We need volunteers to help with tasks such as pre-event preparation, event setup, running check-in points, teardown, and emergency bike repairs. In addition to helping foster community and make Seattle communities more resilient, volunteers will receive delicious snacks, water, and a Disaster Relief Trials t-shirt!


Time commitment:

Slots of either 9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm


Skill requirements:

A friendly, helpful attitude is a must.

Familiarity with basic bike maintenance is highly desired but not required–in fact, you could learn this by volunteering at our bike maintenance skills checkpoint!
