Position description:

Literacy Source is looking for volunteer tutors for our ESL, Adult Basic Education (ABE), and Citizenship adult learners!

 

Based on your interests you will be matched with an adult learner who is working on ESL, basic math & science, computer skills, citizenship, reading and writing, workforce skills, or GED preparation.

 

If you are interested in teaching English abroad after graduating, this is a great way to gain experience working with ESL students!

 

Time commitment:

3hrs/week

 

Skill requirements:

Speak, read and write English fluently

Commit to a student for at least 6 months Complete 10 hours of training within the first year of tutoring Enjoy working with a diverse community of adult learners Be patient and have a positive, encouraging attitude
